Zaibatsu owner Kris Procter is Dunedin born and bred and is currently enjoying life in St Clair. Before taking over ownership of Zaibatsu she worked as a remedial massage therapist. In this work Kris enjoyed helping people heal and get the best from themselves, something she also thinks hairdressing can do.

Through Zaibatsu, Kris gives back to the community by donating to several charity auctions and sponsorship of local clubs and community groups.

Outside of work Kris enjoys spending family time with husband Callum and their two sons. She also loves getting her own hair done - when she has time!

Callum Procter is best known as part of the award-winning breakfast show on The Hits Dunedin, but hairdressing runs in his family. In the 1960s and 70s Callum's parents were one of the original owners of a hair salon which was located just across the road from where Zaibatsu now sits.
